Update on our WerkHuus1 office building 🏗️

Under a bright blue sky ☀️ we were able to complete the cleanliness layer and the lightning protection ⚡. The excavation for the elevator underpass has also been completed for the subsequent insulation and concreting work. At the same time, the crane has been placed on parts of the former parking lot. So much for the construction site status.

Meanwhile, the timber construction planning team has already ordered all the timber and panel materials after completing the heating, ventilation, sanitary and technical building equipment planning. We are producing ⏱️ earlier than the construction deadline in the summer in order to keep capacity free for ongoing projects.

We want to gain new experience in the use of alternative tie rods on the cross-laminated timber ceilings and shear anchors within the closed wall elements. Here, it is important to measure with a tachymeter for a very precise fit, because the elements snap into place immovably during installation – all in all, we hope that this will result in faster and more precise handling ✔️ on the construction site.

The steel order for the powder-coated steel sheets running around each storey will be completed in the next few days. Sheet metal cladding in the same color will be installed above the floor-to-ceiling wooden aluminum windows to match this selected fire barrier for our building class 4.
