“At my level,” says Gina-Marie Hemker, “15 girls have now started in the carpentry trade. So there are more and more.” Like Leo Wesseler – who you have already met here at AZUBI-TV – Gina-Marie has also completed her A-levels and is in her second year of training as a carpentry apprentice at the Terhalle Group.
She also likes the fact that you can see what you can do in the trade. Be it in window construction or in the production and assembly of a piece of furniture in interior design. 💪🤩
Gina-Marie is continuing a family dynasty, as she is the third generation of carpenters in a row after her dad and granddad. And after her journeyman’s certificate – what comes next? “It’s possible that I’ll add another year as a journeyman,” says the craftswoman, “then maybe I’ll train as a master craftsman or study interior design,” she says. A craft apprenticeship at Terhalle opens up opportunities. 🥳🤗
