👩🏫 Academy building of the LWL clinics in Münster
For the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL), the property construction team created new rooms for prospective nursing staff on 340 m² of floor space 👩⚕️ within a construction period of seven months.
Surrounded by our cellulose-insulated timber frame walls and a wooden beam ceiling, two classrooms, a principal’s/principal’s office, a meeting room and other ancillary rooms have been created.
One of the special features of the detached 1-storey building with a green roof and photovoltaic system is the natural flooring made of elastic rubber with granite scattered throughout, where the color transitions between grey and green had to be worked very precisely at the butt joints. Equally striking in the classrooms are the gray glazed ceiling beams between the perforated white acoustic ceilings, which remain visible for approx. 1 cm, and the sound-absorbing panels on the walls, which can also be used as a pinboard 📌.
As an exterior detail, the corners and sections on the long sides of the vertical grey glazed larch wood façade catch the eye – here, the wider joint spacing was backed with black aluminum sheets. And the heating technology, which is supplied by the hospital’s own local heating network, rounds off the special features.
We wish all students and teachers every success in this learner-friendly atmosphere 🍀!
