The official ground-breaking ceremony marks the symbolic start of construction of the Oxford Quarter 🏗️

After completion of the planning phase, the implementation of the central sub-quarter will now begin, which will create a lively living environment for around 4,000 people by 2030.

The start of construction marks the beginning of a diverse range of housing: climate-adapted new buildings, photovoltaics, green roofs and publicly accessible residential courtyards send a strong signal for sustainable district development.

A total of 198 residential units are being built on construction site D2 – including student housing in the converted team building, three apartment buildings, senior citizens’ housing based on the historic Wagenhalle, eleven terraced houses and a residential and commercial building. 🏘️

Future-proof mobility will be complemented by an underground car park and extensive bicycle and car-sharing services.
