Grand opening of the Ulenbergstraße daycare center in Düsseldorf! 🎉🌿

On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, the new Ulenbergstraße daycare center in Düsseldorf was officially opened with a spring party – a place to play, learn and feel good! 🧒👧

We built the daycare center on behalf of IPM Immobilien Projekt Management Düsseldorf GmbH, a subsidiary of the City of Düsseldorf, and it has been ready for occupancy since August 2024.

The sustainable concept is particularly noteworthy: the building was constructed entirely in timber, with only the base plate and plinth made of reinforced concrete. Wood and recyclable materials were also predominantly used inside. Large canopies, solar shading and an air-to-water heat pump ensure pleasant temperatures – without any fossil fuels. 🌞🌱

The roof? A real highlight: In addition to a photovoltaic system for self-consumption, it was extensively greened and designed with biodiversity areas such as deadwood piles, sand lenses and nesting aids – a new habitat for insects! 🐝🐞

A single-storey, modern building was thus created on an area of around 4,000 m², offering children space for a sustainable future.
