From May 20 to 21, 2025, the 6th German Timber Construction Congress (DHK) took place in Berlin under the motto “Building with wood in urban areas”. We were also there as an exhibitor and can look back on two exciting and inspiring days at the congress. 😊🙌

The forum was organized by FORUM HOLZBAU in cooperation with the Berlin-Brandenburg Wood Advisory Board. Around 700 participants from architecture, construction, industry and politics – including Federal Building Minister Klara Geywitz – discussed current challenges and developments in modern timber construction. The focus was on topics such as new technologies, multi-storey timber construction, educational buildings made of wood and design quality in sustainable construction, with outstanding projects being awarded the Berlin-Brandenburg Timber Construction Prize 2025.

The congress offered a central platform for exchange, discussions, knowledge transfer and the promotion of timber construction as a climate-friendly construction method of the future. We are delighted to have been part of this important event for the climate-friendly timber construction of the future. 💪🏗️📏
