Handover of the keys at the Bergmannsgrün model quarter in Dortmund

The new daycare centre on Pothmorgenweg has been completed and officially handed over – another milestone for the VIVAWEST Bergmannsgrün model district in Dortmund-Huckarde. From mid-September, the first children will be cared for here – in total, the daycare center offers space for up to 73 children.

The building, which is almost entirely made of wood, blends harmoniously into the modern and sustainably designed architecture of the quarter. On almost 1,000 square meters, spread over two floors, as well as in a spacious outdoor area, the children will be cared for in four groups in the future. The timber construction method not only creates a sustainable basis, but also enables flexible design and a healthy indoor climate for children and educators.
