The walls, including windows and connections, are built in huge halls at the Terhalle Group.

The degree of prefabrication is so high that the elements only need to be erected on the construction site – that’s it! This is no longer just about detached houses, but also large commercial buildings such as entire schools and kindergartens. 🏫🏘️

Tom Wissing, Head of CAD, and Daniel Kemmer, Team Leader Work Preparation, are currently discussing a school project in Lehrte that is being realized using timber frame construction. The designer and the work planner are carefully checking the connection details, which were previously simulated on the screen in 3D. It goes without saying that the highest requirements for the sealing levels and many other structural details are among the points that Tom and Daniel planned in detail in advance. 🖊️

And the orange panels? “These dominoes are very important for the architect,” says Tom, “because they shape the aesthetic effect of the building in terms of color. But they are not functional elements.”
