🏗️ KlimaQuartier.NRW award for Cologne residential district “Zum Dammfelde”

Our window and façade construction team played a key role in the high-quality building envelope of this virtually CO²-free project. Over 320 wooden window elements, including external venetian blinds and aluminum window sills, were installed in the 62 residential units, which are spread across 6 residential buildings.

Tailored to the Efficiency House 40plus building standard, our high-quality wooden windows made of pine were installed in front of the wall. All sashes and frames consist of 3 slats each, resulting in a total thickness of 92 mm. For the special aesthetics of our quadruple coating system, we opted for a special moss gray RAL 7003 finish, which was also used for the 12 front doors with glass side panels.

The district concept for this new municipal building project also included a two-storey, 6-group daycare center 👫. Our scope of work here included 59 wooden window elements with matching external blinds and 11 external doors.

For the car-free site 🌻, a large underground parking garage was built across all buildings. This provided particularly good coordination for material deliveries and crane positions to ensure load-bearing capacity at all times.

Our FSC and PEFC-certified Terhalle products made from the sustainable and carbon-neutral material wood contributed to the KlimaQuartier.NRW award 📝. By reducing greenhouse gases and installing resilient, durable materials, we are once again actively shaping the energy transition 🌍!
